January has been a very busy month for Smallford Farm Shop, with the farm shop starting to come together ready for opening. Interior building works are almost complete, products have been selected ready for stocking the shop, and interviews have taken place to form the Smallford Farm Shop team. Our coffee machine is in place, crockery and equipment is beginning to arrive, and tables and chairs are ready to be sat on.

We are now waiting for the exterior work to be complete, including cladding and the new gate system to separate the farm shop from the Glinwell entrance. Once this is finished, alongside the last few interior and exterior tasks, the farm shop doors will be open to the public.

Many of you will have seen some of the great local brands on our social media that will be available to purchase in the farm shop once we have opened. These include Twist Teas (Harpenden), Hibiscus Lily (Letchworth), Mrs Middleton’s (Bedfordshire), Bionic Bull Roastery (Hertford) and Glinwell (Smallford). We’ve got lots of delicious products from other areas of the country that we are excited to show you too.

Our social media pages have attracted a lot of attention over the last month or so, as well as receiving a lot of queries regarding the opening date. As soon as we have a date, we will let you know. We are just as excited as you are, so a big thank you for all of your support so far. We can’t wait for you to visit us here in Smallford.
